Four electric arc furnaces with capacities ranging from 10,000 to 70,000 pounds are available for steel melting. Basic linings are used in furnaces to help with steel processing and to improve physical properties.
Bottom pour ladles with capacities ranging from 10,000 to 80,000 pounds are used for pouring and molten metal treatment. Multiple ladles are used to pour larger castings, with a combined pour weight of over 120,000 pounds. Using porous plug argon stirring and calcium, iron, or titanium wire treatment, the most up-to-date clean steel technology is used.
